FAITH: And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, Whom shall I send?' Then I said, Here am I! Send me!' Isaiah 6:8 ; It is through working together, praying together and planning together that we discover our respective roles as Christians. Today's parish needs the participation and the involvement of all whereas in the past, much parish activity revolved around what the priest did. Collaboration between priests and parishioners is not about helping the priest'. Collaboration recognises, uses and celebrates the gifts God has given each of us, for the service of all e.g. parish pastoral councils, weeks of directed prayer and liturgy groups, taken from Parish newsletter.
