As of the afternoon of May 3, Subcommandante Marcos of the EZLN (National Zapatista Army of Liberation) announced in a public act in Mexico City a new RED ALERT and closure of Zapatista caracoles and suspension of activities of La Otra Campaña, which has now become a struggle to support utube the notebook nina gordon the people of Texcoco, who for the past two days have been experiencing severe government repression.

Bay Area Call To Action for the people of San Salvador Atenco!!
Sisters and brothers, compañeras y compañeros-
As we have been demonstrating our complete denouncement to the anti-human, anti-immigration bill HR-4437, we are reminded of the power of organization in numbers and solidarity through work, marches, action, and unity. At this same time that we defend the human rights and lives of those affected by violent injustices of the US government here, we also ask that you do not forget the struggles of our sisters and brothers internationally who are experiencing these injustices also.
We have learned that most recently the people of San Salvador feist apple notebook Atenco have been under brutal attack by the forces of 800 heavily armed riot cops for simply defending the peoples' right to autonomy, for defending the small businesspeoples of Texcoco, for demanding respect and opposing the invasions of multi-national corporations such as Wal-Mart and other mega-markets who destroy local economies, lives, and land. So far we know that at least one young person the age of 14 has been killed, while many more are facing violent beatings, arrests and possible death.
