A Message In Verse I write what I feel, I feel what I write. The words rollout To kiss not bite. To put words to form, And try to please all Is not the thought, Just the result of one's call. Verse and rhyme will make one think, Whether the story is large or whether it's small There are those with eloquent words, And those that ramble away. There are those that hold words dear, And those that cast them astray. But if what's written Are not words for thought, Then all the writing Is to be for naught. Let serenity reign While reading verse And you'll gain something special As you and the words converse. George C. Clements |
