| A Restless Spirit There's a restless spirit within me, To view what I haven't seen. All around the world, Sights most couldn't dream. They start right in our homeland, And spread around our earth. Begin with the greatest wonder, Life's creation, human birth. Of all the birds and creatures, I've seen so very few. Have you ever watched The forming of morning dew? From giant mountain ranges To canyons wide and deep, That take on awesome colors, As above the sunbeams creep. I want to see the redwoods, Giants reaching for the sky. The painted deserts of the west, And hear the eagles cry. And when I've seen my blessed land, If time allows it to be, I'll search the world over Out there beyond the sea. George C. Clements |
