| Listen to the Writing As I sit with and read A book of verse, I hear the words of an inner voice As their creator and I converse. Poets let free to flow Their thoughts, hopes, and dreams. They are saying in words so soft What is in their heart it seems. Listen to their work of words, If you will, and by doing such You answer to their voice, Their yearning to be heard so much. There are thoughts in every line, It matters not nature, woe, or cheer, They are creating in word, emotions For you and me to hear. |
