| Inner Peace And Outer Peace Peace, oh peace, evasive peace, The world wont let you be. Yet every soul there ever was, Its you they would like to see. Theres a secret to be engulfed by you, Yet man knows it not. Ever since there were only two, He and she have fought. A waste, a waste, to disagree To the point of causing strife, Weve all been put together To enhance each others life. We have so much, We see it not. All of time we spend at war, And ignore the peace weve sought. The inner peace, the outer peace, They will be found some day. The lack of one is self-confined, The other leads the world astray. It doesnt have to be If we take each others hand, And listen to the heart, And try to understand. |
| Reminisce in Metaphor Have I reached a point of no return? I sit and wonder, and yes, I yearn Of days gone by. Sometimes bringing a tear to my eye. I tried so hard so long ago To capture my dream, and when I did I kept it awhile and cherished it so. But I didn't hold tight To the wheel of my ship. The winds picked up From out on the sea, And the rocks came quick On the side to the lee. If only I'd grasped the value of wealth That I had acquired, but not by myself. The world like the sea Knows not of repent, Or precious time That was never spent. Take with you along the way, What you must know And I cannot say. Follow the wind And shine in the sun, Enjoy and be happy For God's work has only begun. |
