| Autumn Autumn is arriving, A crispness in the air. Nature tells the world With a frost for us to share. Summer green is leaving, replaced by Many shades of yellow, orange and red. Beauty sparkles in the trees, The colors continue to spread. Soon we're overwhelmed With grandeur that comes each year Sunshine makes all sparkle, And cloudy days mute the colors that we endear. There's a special beauty On the days the sun doesn't shine, Look a little closer, This world is yours and mine. Autumn is a special time; The end of harvest of what is grown. A time to reap the bounty Of what before we have sown. George C. Clements |
