Bio: After starting off as Rocky Maivia and dethroning Faarooq as leader of the Nation of Domination, the Rock became the Corporate Champion and helped Vince McMahon defeat Stone Cold to win the Royal Rumble. After a solid thrashing by the Rattlesnake at Wrestlemania XV, the Rock became the People's Champion. His partnership with Mick Foley, the Rock 'n' Sock Connection only did more to boost his popularity. The Rock was WWF Champion for a fair amount of 2000, and had several great matches with Kurt Angle and HHH. With the return of Stone Cold Steve Austin and his subsequent victory in the Royal Rumble, the Rock faced the Rattlesnake at Wrestlemania X7, where Stone Cold sold his soul to Vince McMahon for the WWF Title. After another beating in a cage match by HHH and Stone Cold, the Rock was suspended (really just filiming his new movie, The Scorpion King) for four months. He returned at Summerslam and defeated Booker T for the WCW Title. Though the Rock lost the title to Chris Jericho and was defeated by Jericho at Vengeance, the Rock continues to make his presence known. His failed attempt to win the Undisputed Title at the 2002 Royal Rumble may prevent him from headlining Wrestlemania X8, but the Rock will continue to be the People's Champion, and he will have to prove that at Wrestlemania when he faces the Immortal Hulk Hogan. With the return of the nWo, the Rock challenged Hogan to a match, but was knocked out of action for 3 weeks after Hogan drove a semi into the Ambulance the Rock was in after the Brahma Bull was hit with a hammer in the back of the head. The Rock is ready to go, and their match at Wrestlemania will determine who goes down as the best ever!
