| Lean, mean fighting machines can classify some of the bosses in Chrono Trigger, but all of them can be classified as tough. HP counts are approxomated because Lucca's Sightscope can't read bosses. Besides a picture of the boss, you can find out location, time period, HP, Main attacks, Major Weaknesses, and a mini guide for handling the boss. |
| Boss Name: Yakra Time Period/Location: 600 AD/Cathedral Hit Points: 920 EXP/Tech Points/Gold: 50/5/600 Main Attacks: Spinning Needle Major Weaknesses: X-Strike Mini Guide: No choice on characters for this first boss battle, so make sure you have Crono, Frog, and Lucca equipped to the best possible status with full HP before approaching Yakra. Basically, have Crono and Frog repeatedly use the X-Strike technique and have Lucca heal any party members that get hurt by Yakra's attacks, primarily the Spinning Needle. If your characters get to less than a 100 HP, have Frog cast Slurp while Crono and Lucca restore themselves with Tonics. As long as you keep your HP up and cast X-Strike, Yakra will soon fall to your blade. |
