Lean, mean fighting machines can classify some of the bosses in Chrono Trigger, but all of them can be classified as tough.  HP counts are approximated because Lucca's Sightscope can't read bosses.  Besides a picture of the boss and recommended team to face it, you can find out its location, time period, HP, Main attacks, Major Weaknesses, and a mini guide for handling the boss.

Mini Guide: The three monsters guarding the entrance to the Mountain of Woe are tough if you aren't careful.  Focus on getting rid of the beasts first before going after the Stone Imp because the Beasts do the most powerful attacks like a charge or their X-Strike.  Blast the Blue Beast with Fire and the Red Beast with Ice, but it will take longer because Mud Imp will often heal the party.  After getting rid of the Beasts, you will have a chance to get rid of the Mud Imp, but he will flee if you don't defeat him fast enough.  After defeating these three, you gain access to the Mountain of Woe.
