Aloha- Hope everyone is excited about coming to Maui!!! We are looking forward to a FUN week and hope you will be there to celebrate. This is a week designed for everyone… you can participate in all the activities or just chill on the beach, what you do is up to you. The main thing is that you come to have a great experience in Hawaii. Just to give you a heads up on what to expect and what to do. Remember you can book to stay at any condo or hotel. We will host the Sunday luau, fish bake, and the mai tai party at the Kamaole Sands Condos.
Sunday 15th - Luau pool side. This is a local "Hawaiian Style Luau" with all of the food made by us. This is a BYOB party and we are asking for a donation of $10.00 per person to cover most of the cost of the food. Upper management $100,000.00. Thank you! On the menu; Hawaiian Rib Eye Steak Kalua Pork Huli Huli Chicken Teri Barbecue Sticks Lomi Lomi Salmon Chinese Chicken Salad Rice Poi Haupia (coconut desert) More to be added… Monday 16th - I will be giving surf lessons for anyone interested. The waves are only about a foot high. You will need to rent a board. Normally we get a group together and share the boards to save money. That evening we get together to have a Thai dinner. You are welcome to eat on your own. Drinks and dancing will follow depending on you! Tuesday 17th - More surfing, Snorkeling with Captain Don Burns and Crew (rates to follow), and Golfing. I recommend snorkeling on this day and I believe that the rates will be around $40.00. The boat will take you out to Molokini and turtle Bay. Dinner will be on your own this evening due to the fact that most of us will be up before the sun rises! What are we sick? No just practicing for those 8 leg days that are coming! We will be doing Apres Surf at Life's a Beach around 3:00 pm. By the way Alexander's next door has GREAT fish and chips. Wednesday 18th - Deep sea fishing (about $190.00 per person on a private boat. This is a full day trip. Remember prices of fuel went up and we are trolling all day), Hale'akala bike ride ($45.00), and Golf. Fish bake. Yes we have to catch fish to have a bake so if you are a golfer, wish us luck! Last year we caught 3-4 aku (skipjack tuna), 8 big eye tuna, and 5 mahi mahi. We were able to turn that into sashimi, Hawaiian poke, and macadamia nut crusted mahi with a papaya, lilikoi, and guava marmalade. Thursday 19th -Lahaina all day. We leave Kihei early, about 10:00 am and spend the entire day in Lahaina and Ka'anapali. We do some shopping, site seeing (we are on the water front of an old whaling harbor) during the day, and we meeting for happy hour before heading to the Hyatt in Ka'anapali. Drums of the Islands is the theme for this luau at the Hyatt Regency Ka'anapali. It is a little pricey at $79.95 per person. Here is what you get and let me tell you, I'll be the first to say, the last thing I need to do is go to a touristy luau and spend $80.00. We start off with mai tai's and we might even be let in before the rest of the crowd. Unlimited drinks which we usually do not have to order. All you can eat buffet which includes kalua pork, huli huli chicken, mahi mahi, Ulupakakua beef, polynesian rice, bake kula potatoes, baked Hawaiian sweet potatoes, vegtables maka maka, tropical island fruits anuenue, soba noodles, roasted Maui onions, lomi lomi salmon, pacific ahi poke, tossed green salad, kim chee, poi, macadamia nut luau cream pie, haupia with toasted coconut, pineapple cake, bread pudding, and more drinks. Hula lessons, Poi ball lessons, coconut tree climbing, and coconut husking. Friday 20th -Beach or pool day, with a pool side mai tai party with small kind pupu's. Aloha!
