"Murry" was my first horse, a registered 14.3hh AQHA mare. Though she's no longer mine, she's had a great impact on my life and deserves her respectable place alongside my current horses. If you have already visited Dallas, you know that Murr wasn't the horse I initally sought after but as luck would have it, ended up buying. Far from being a Paint and solid as can be, I bought her and brought her home a few months later. She was with me for 5 years before I made the choice to part with her which was one of the hardest things I have ever done. In '95, I purchased her as a green broke 4 yr.old and the rest is history.

Murr taught me a lot about riding and training. We had our differences which led to some ups and downs but we would eventually work things out. My parents weren't too sure about her wild ways at the beginning and neither was I actually. We survived, and after a few years of hard work and determination, I had Murr doing just about everything. She took me to our first show and was with me throughout that first and second year of showing. Murr however, wasn't exactly show quality and thus, we had little success but those few hard earned ribbons meant the world to me. She taught me showing wasn't about winning but having fun with others and that still remains my main reason for showing.

In '99, Murr gave me the greatest gift I could ever receive. That gift being in the form of a beautiful Paint stud colt aka "Dallas". She was one excellent mother, no surprises there! Unfortunately, I outgrew her and it was time to get another mount. Thank you for the wonderful years Murr, it has been a pleasure. Love you sweetie!
