| Reflections |
| I looked in the mirror one day long ago. It was not my reflection I saw, but that of a stranger unknown to me. She had a deep-set frown and tears in the corners of her eyes. I looked deeply into her brown eyes and saw pain and distance. Day after day I would look into that mirror, but it was always the same. It seemed I was unable to get rid of her. Eventually, I stopped looking. I did not want to see the reflection presented back at me. Years passed and one day I happened to glance at a store window as I passed. The reflection was no longer that of a stranger, but my own. It was then that I realized to see your own reflection, you have to find out who you really are. |
