After June 1, notebook carts the entry fee will be $15 — remember, there are no post entries for this race. Applications must be in by 4 p.m. on June 14. On-line registration is available at jbrace.com
The reductions in entry fees won't affect the usual amenities for this dual event: T-shirts and tavern mugs to the first 600 entrants, best travel notebook with $1,600 in prize money and a grand total of 128 awards for the division leaders in the two races.
The prize money for the 10k race is $250, $150 and $100 for the top three men and women, and $150, $100 and repair notebook schematcis $50 for the top three in the 5k. There is also a $200 bonus for a course record in the 10k — currently, they're 29:36 (set by Joe Rocha in 1986) and 33:18 (Maria Louise Servin, 1996).
Other awards will go to the top three men and women in nine age divisions, plus the top three father/son and father/daughter teams in each race. There will also be special awards for the first Fairhaven man notebook cpu and woman in both races. Merchandise prizes will be awarded in a post-race raffle, while refreshments will include hot dogs and pizza. Music will be provided by D.J. Eddie Freitas.
Both races will start (9 a.m.) and finish at the Hastings Middle School on School Street, following the same route until the fork on Main Street at the intersection of Main and Howland professional laboratory notebook page carbonless Road: the 5k runners will veer left onto Adams Street, while the 10k runners continue on down Main Street to Fort Phoenix and then back up Green Street.
