Duties:
Strong leadership and visionary skills, with the ability to define long range strategic
goals and plans in order to achieve the future state of the SCM/Quality/Logistics
organization in a growing and diverse high value added electro-optical custom
manufacturer and branded products business.
* Oversee and manage the development of all plans, policies, procedures, and
strategies to: minimize and automate transaction activity, escalating compliant
and billing issues, improve purchasing efficiency to ensure work alignments with
contract terms and conditions, and resolving or escalating important supplier
performance and pricing/billing issues. Able to negotiate difficult matters to
influence both internal and external policy making bodies.
* Responsible for establishing, directing, and maintaining an effective Quality,
Supply Chain and Logistics systems (including budgetary and manpower needs),
in compliance with all domestic, international, and governmental needs and
requirements.
* Participates in and support the management review efforts of all new products,
test methods, and suppliers. Manage the risk, compliance and legal review of
proposed vendor contracts and other supplier related agreements to safeguard
the organization’s interests.
* Responsible for achieving On Time Delivery (OTD) to customer commitments
with a minimum of customer returns while ensuring inventory at minimum
acceptable levels to support manufacturing, as well as after market and service
requirements based upon forecasts.

Basic Qualifications:
* Minimum of ten years in either a middle-to-senior level management capacity, in
the functional areas of Quality and/or Supply Chain Management (including
material planning, logistics, & warehouse) operations.
* Bachelor’s Degree in either Science, Engineering, or Business.
* Experience in manufacturing operations. Preferred: Metal fabrication, optics,
semiconductor, or high tech electronics experience.
* Possess formal training and knowledge of both Six Sigma and Lean operational
concepts.
* Experience in managing an ISO 9000:2000 organization.
* Knowledgeable in Logistics systems.
* Experience in government contracts – FAR/DFAR.
* Experience in the utilization of MRP/ERP concepts and tools. Included with this
is an understanding of both inventory control techniques and manufacturing
flows and support functions (production control, configuration management,
engineering, etc.)
* Proficient in MS Office and Project applications.
* Effective oral and written communication skills (English language) are a must, as
is the ability to prioritize and perform in a fast paced environment.
