Number Substitution

If numbers replace the Hebrew and Greek letters, interesting patterns start to appear that are not duplicated in any other Hebrew or Greek writings.

Here are some examples (from the Greek except where noted):

                   Jesus                                   888                     8 x 111  (8 the number of resurrection)

                   Christ                                 1480                     8 x 185

                   Savior                                 1408                    8 x 176

                   Lord                                     800                    8 x 100

                   Messiah (Heb)                       656                    8 x 82

                   Son of Man                         2960                    8 x 370

                   Way                                     344                    8 x 43

                   Truth                                     64                    8 x 8

                   Life                                    See below *

                   True Light (Jn. 1:6)              1728                   8 x 216  (or 8 x 8 x 3 x 3 x 3 or 12 x 12 x 12)

NB:  The Word (Logos) adds up to 373 and so is not a multiple of 8. This helps demonstrate that the Word in John 1:1 is the purpose or plan of God and not Jesus (who was part of that plan.) In fact 373 is a prime number, relating back to the unity of God.

Applying the same technique to the Hebrew words in the first verse of the Bible reveals these interesting
facts from Genesis 1:1

"In the beginning God"  =  999 (absolutely the last word)

"God, Heaven and Earth" (the three nouns of Gen.1:1)  =  777 (absolutely complete)
