"Screens" Like a geologist, an astronomer or a physicist who watch the beauty of nature with amazement, investigates it and writes the results of his inquiries in formulas and numbers, so does Dalia Rubin - a scientist in soul - investigates nature, from the very big to the very small, marvels it's beauty and examines it - using a paintbrush, colors and varied materials which create the unique textures of her work. |

"Screens tries to peek at the universe that hides behind a heavy screen. Clues to the mysterious world that hides behind the screen are peeking through the ruptures - a world that at times we are the ones who wish to peek at, and at times it is the one which tries to burst out and reveal itself before us. "Screens" has two series: "Spheres" was inspired by cosmology and brings us impressions from the "big bang" and the formation of celestial objects. The spheres are trying to burst out and reach us through the torn screen, right before our eyes. Another interesting series is "Pods" that lie in the depth of the earth and their seeds are waiting go sprout. Are they minerals, or perhaps gems that hide and wait for the miner to come and dig them out? |
