The year of 2006 was a year of planting seeds, full of activities and group Bible studies for Children and Teens. And now as we start the new year of reaping we have two decisions for baptism. After several months of Bible studies, a brother and sister decided to give their lives to Jesus though baptism. We met Brian and Treva Miller at our usual Youth group meetings at Debbie Douglas’ home a Pampa member who gives her time after work to help kids and teens meet Jesus. Some time latter Brian and Trava were able to attend the ROC fest 2006 at the Amarillo SDA Church . They enjoyed listening to the talks given by Willy Ramos and the different activities presented by the Amarillo youth. I was surprised to see Triva’s reaction the next week in church as I interviewed her. She is usually shy, but that Sabbath she didn’t hold back. This life changing event allowed them to meet other SDA youth realizing they are not the only youth in the Texico conference. All of this brought happiness in knowing they were a part of the family of God.

We have seen how God works through the youth to reach other youth and it is wonderful that young people of this generation recognizes Jesus as an important part of their lives. We look forward to having more young people join the church. Please pray that Brian and Treva may be filled with blessings and always walk hand in hand with Jesus, and that the Holy Spirit helps them to continue to share with others their experience with Jesus.
