More Friends at the Rainbow Bridge
Dottie Dottie came to us in 1995 from the Coshocton Animal Shelter, age unknown. She went to the bridge on 1/14/03. May her tail ever wag.
Harley Harley came to us in 1995, age unknown, from the Animal Shelter. She went to the bridge on 1/22/02, the victim of hemolytic autoimmune anemia. Her sweet expression remains in memory.
Boop Boop came to live with us in 1996 at the age of seven. Reportedly a Shepherd and wolf cross, he was always in motion. Boop made his journey to the bridge on August 25th, 2003, due to liver failure. He was a magnificent dog, and is greatly missed.
Logan Logan was a Dal mix, rescued from the animal shelter in 1992. During the summer of 1999, he began having difficulty walking, losing the use of his hind legs altogether, apparently from degenerative spinal myelopathy. Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Logan on October 12, 1999.
Tammy Born in Aug. 1986, part Saluki, Tammy was my Mom's dog until 1988. She got along with everyone, so she had a lot of pals at ABC. Late in life she developed neurological problems and made her way to the Bridge on 9/13/99.
Bobber This little cutie, an American Eskimo, was dropped off one day in Dec.1990, and after a week of chasing cars, was placed in" protective custody." He was quite active and noisy, so we called him, Bouncing Bobby Barker. Cancer was his nemesis, 7/8/95. "Keep things bouncing at the Bridge, Bobaloo."
Jasper A hound dog mix, Jasper started out at the neighbor's in the summer of '85, a puppy chained to a doghouse, and not liking it much. When his owner moved to Florida in '89, Jasper was supposed to make the trip nailed inside his house in the back of a pickup truck. I said, "NO! Leave him here!" He had to be treated for heartworm shortly thereafter, and preceeded Tammy to the Bridge on 6//5/99. "Happy hunting, Bugle Dog!"
Busch Busch was found by a friend, lying by the road one very hot day and unable to stand. She gave him water and called me. When I got there, he was able to walk, and then we found he'd been there at least two days! I think he had a close call with dehydration! From the skinned places on his legs, I'd say that whoever dropped him off might not have bothered to come to a full stop first! So Busch came home with me, and has become quite a handsome fellow. His lineage is a mystery, and I swear, his name was only supposed to be temporary! I just run out of ideas sometimes.
March, 2004...Busch became seriously ill with possible cancer and abnormal kidney function. He was 6 1/2 years old. On April 8th, he made a trip to the bridge... and returned. On April 20th, long before the sun rose, he went back to the bridge, to stay. He was an awfully nice dog, and is sadly missed.

Busch and Duster
Duster Duster wandered in one day in 1993 and hung out with Tilly, Tammy, Fritzie, and Jasper. He was the last of the pack to leave, on 8/12/03.
