A Little About Me

My name is Dale R. Sines, II. I was born in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, on May 10, 1955. My father was a career military man, so my family moved around quite a bit. I am the youngest of five kids and currently the only one that has been bitten by the genealogy bug. I grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas, from 1963 until I graduated from high school. I attended Ouachita Baptist University, graduating with a B.A. in History and a teaching certificate. I also received a commission as a 2nd Lieutenant and served 8 years on active duty with the U.S. Army. I left the military in 1985 to teach here in Killeen, Texas. My wife and I have been married since 1976 and have raised two children. Both of our kids attend college, my son is a senior at the University of Mary-Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. My daughter is a freshman at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. We are enjoying the quiet around the house for now. As you may have guessed from my choice of music, I grew up with Rock-n-Roll and Country. Return to Family Page
