"Katomi’s a big girl. She can take care of herself. I bet she will be waltzing into the barracks any moment now," Chesta said in an attempt to comfort Viole.

"I know…but…what if she ends up like Migel?" Viole said, looking up.

"She won’t," Dalet said. "If there were any doppelgangers around, she’d knock them out just like that." He snapped his fingers to emphasize the last word. "Besides, she’s a smart hybrid."

Viole sighed. "I guess you’re right…"

Guimel chuckled. "Geez, Viole, If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that you were in love with Katomi. You two are inseperable! You’re way too protective of her, you know that?"

Viole looked down, smiling. "We’re just good friends, Guimel."

"Say…did anybody see Gatti?" Dalet said.

All the Dragonslayers looked around.

"I don’t know…" Chesta said, blinking. "He was just here a moment ago…"

Dilandau sat in his throne. Stupid hybrid! Who told her go attack that stupid antique without my saying so?! How dare she!! Idiot! She even let herself get captured by those incompetent fools! Stupid hybrid!

The purple stone glowed softly, illuminating Lina’s face. The girls stared at the charm, half conscious. The dream she had…it seemed so real…and part of it had just come true…in a way. The battle that took place…it was similar to the one in the dream. Except the one in the dream was more violent. She closed her eyes and sighed as she closed her hand over the purple stone. Leiren…the boy Kara had loved so much…the boy who died right after their quest to return peace to Exidaea was complete. Poor guy…Lina thought.

The girl rested her head against the wall behind her, as a new thought popped into her mind. If Leiren died…how come he was the guymelef pilot in her dream? He couldn’t have died before if he was the pilot of the guymelef…! Maybe…maybe he came back to life…maybe he was born again as a different person! Was that possible? Maybe…

"Invisible enemies!! I never knew we’d be fighting invisible enemies!!" Emperor Zibron snarled. "I’ve lost almost half of my in that battle, and heaven knows how long it will take to recover that number!"

"I lost one third of my army! Cowards! Attacking us in that manner!" Emperor Darius said, slamming his fist on the table.

Cecilium let out a heavy sigh. "I’ve lost a lot of soldiers too…and a General-of-the-Army was captured…. Well, if we are to defeat our enemy, there’s only one thing we can do."

"And what is that, may I ask?" Zibron said.

"We have to get androids which can see through whatever they use to hide themselves. Or…maybe we could train our soldiers to notice the ripples of air quicker…no…that won’t do. Those invisible androids strike from both sides! They seem to team up and fight…" Cecilium said.

"All right then. I’ll tell the engineers to upgrade our androids. That would do us the a lot of good," Darius agreed.

Zibron arose and held out his paws, which the others took. The three emperors shook paws and smiled. Unity had arrived.

Katomi sat in her cell, staring into space. Her paws were tied behind her back, and her long hip length hair was cut short. Angrily, she muttered, "Idiots!" Slowly, she leaned back against a wall, closing her eyes to shut out the throbbing pain in her head. It availed her nothing. What just happened back there? She remembered the part where she was shooting towards the Dragon…after that, everything went by so fast! She groaned as a vague memory popped up in her mind.

~*~flashback~*~

"Compose yourself!! C’mon! Calm down!" said a voice which sounded so distant.

Little Katomi threw a wooden chair at a wall and laughed as the chair shattered to pieces. "Destroying is fun!!"

"Stop it!! Now!!" said the voice. A paw got hold of Katomi’s wrist.

"Let go!" Katomi screamed, throwing the other hybrid over her shoulder.

"I thought you said the medications would work!!!" said another voice.

"It does! It’s just that this cub’s Deathlust attacks are so strong! The medication won’t work on her!" said another.

Katomi got her pillow and shredded it, laughing. "DIE!!! DIE!!!"

"Deathlust…why is there such a thing?!" said the owner of the second voice.

~*~end of flashback~*~

Katomi blinked. What had just happened? The room…it was different from the barracks… what was it that the voices were talking about? Deathlust? She had never heard of it before…. Medication? What medication? Katomi let out a cry of frustration. The hybrids…they were talking in a whole different language…it wasn’t Gaean…and she understood it! She understood it all…and spoke in the same language!

"But…Folken said that I had been raised up in the Vione and I was a Gaean…" Katomi said to herself.

"You don’t look Gaean to me," came a voice.

Katomi looked up. "What?!"

It was a hybrid. He sat in the cell opposite of Katomi’s, more or less in the same position as Katomi.

"You’re not a Gaean!" the hybrid said. "You’re an Exidaean. One of my kind."

"LIAR!! I’m a Gaean! Not a Exi-whatever! I am a Gaean!!" Katomi protested.

"Then how come you understand my tongue? I’m speaking my native language right now…and only Exidaean Hybrids have the gift of tongues," the other said.

"What?"

"You are an Exidaean. I don’t think anybody else on Gaea has the gift of tongues. Exidaean Hybrids just have to look at someone and they know what language to speak if they wish to communicate."

"But…I…" Katomi stammered.

"Think about it. First, tell me how come you look so much like me? We’re wearing the same suit, except I don’t have such a long jacket, we are both white leopard-humans, we both have snouts, and I’m assuming we’re similar in height and weight. Are all Gaean Hybrids as big as you? Second, do you have any memories of your past life in Gaea?"

Katomi was silent. The hybrid had a point. She didn’t have any past memories of living in the Vione except the past week or so. It was odd.

"If I didn’t know any better, I’d say that you was Mekhasa, my twin sister," the hybrid said.

Mekhasa. The name hit Katomi like a cannon ball. Mekhasa.

"Mekhasa…Mekhasa…" she whispered. She thought hard for a moment, then said, "Are you…Rohga?"

The hybrid nodded.

"Rohga…Rohga…ROHGA!!!" Katomi said, in tears. "Brother!!"

Katomi wasn’t Katomi anymore…she was now Mekhasa of Catara.

"Mekhasa!" Rohga cried. "I’ve been worried sick about you!" He laughed. "And to think, I even fought against you in battle without knowing it was you! Well, your android skills have improved, I see…"

"Android…yes…my android…" Mekhasa said, looking away. Guymelef…android…Gaea…Exidaea…. She closed her eyes. Viole…

"Now we could go back to Exidaea and the war would end!" Rohga said.

"Back to Exidaea…" Mekhasa said softly.

"Yes! Yes! Back home!" Rohga said.

Mekhasa opened her eyes. They were filled with tears. "Back home…"

Rohga noticed the tears in Mekhasa’s eyes. "What’s wrong?"

"N-Nothing. It’s just that I’m so happy…" Mekhasa said. Of course, this wasn’t entirely true. She didn’t want to go back to Exidaea. Not now…. A tear trickled down Mekhasa’s cheek. She didn’t want to leave Viole…even if it meant being with her brother.
