A/N: I FINALLY got to see the…first four episodes of Escaflowne! YAY! ^_^ Thanks to my friend! MUCHOS GRACIAS (Spanish)!! KOMAWUH (Korean)!! ARIGATOU (Japanese)!! MERCI (French)!! Uh…I don’t know any more ways to say "thank you"…so…um…yeah. *clears throat* Well, ON with the story. ^_^

Rohga led two score androids down to Earth. He got out of his android as they all landed and scanned his surroundings. It was just as he had left it after the battle.

"These humans aren’t as difficult to overthrow as the Gaean androids…" Rohga said. He smirked. "The unity project won’t take long now…" He looked up and grinned; he was right.

Four score androids landed, along with several sub-androids (a smaller type of android). One android with a long yellow cape stepped forth. Its mouth moved as its pilot spoke. "Musaren, Zentor, Bachonar, Roon and Aruna agree to join Catara to fight. We have trained hard, and we are now ready."

Rohga’s android knelt in respect. "Emperor Zibron of Musaren, I speak for all of Catara. Thank you. Thank you all."

An android with a blue cape stepped forth. "So…what’s in it for us?"

"We’ll see when the battle is over, Lord Darius of Zentor," Rohga replied.

"All right then…. Oy, lookie here! An Earthan woman…" said Darius, looking down at Kara, who had ventured out to the surface.

"I thought we told you humans to stay underground!" Rohga snarled.

"Please…I wish to ask you all a favor…" Kara said.

"A favor?" said a feminine voice which came from a sub-android. "What favor?"

"My daughter…she has disappeared. If you se her…could you bring her back to me? She has the purple stone; the magical stone which was given to me by Leiren, the Arunian warrior. Please…could you spare her and bring her to me?" Kara pleaded.

The sub-android which had spoken before crossed its arms. "Well, I guess I could help. I don’t know about what the hybrids think about this, but I don’t mind finding your daughter for you. Describe her for me, and I’ll try to find her for you. You have the word of Princess Augenta of Bachonark."

Kara smiled. A princess piloting a sub-android…odd…but oh well, that doesn’t matter… she thought before describing Lina’s appearance to the princess.

Lina sat with her back against a wall, her eyes wide with horror.

~*~vision~*~

Lina, Kara and James hid in the underground chambers of Earth. They all looked up through a hole each trying to get a better view of what was going on. Kara and James sighed and stepped aside so Lina could see. Lina’s eyes widened at the sight of gumelefs and androids fighting. An android swooped down on a guymelef and destroyed it. Some androids looked around as if they weren’t able to see the guymelefs, some attacked the guymelefs, seeing their adversary clearly. There was one android which fought on the guymelefs’ side. It attacked an android, then another and another, always standing with another guymelef. Lina watched as blood spilled everywhere each time one of the giant machines was destroyed.

Just then, one of the guymelefs were standing nearby the hole, looking down at her. Lina’s charm glowed brightly and got so hot that it seemed to be a ball of fire. It levitated and pulled at Lina’s neck as it seemed to try and get to the guymelef. Lina let the charm do as it pleased and soon found that the hole had somehow gotten larger. She was pulled up onto the ground before the guymelef by her charm, then she found herself staring up at the guymelef…no…its pilot. That face…she knew the pilot…he was…he was…!

Suddenly, an android came down at the guymelef, sword drawn. The guymelef and the android clashed swords. The android shot back up then came back down, accompanied by several others.

"LINA!!! GET OUT OF HERE!!!" the pilot yelled.

Lina felt herself being pulled back underground. "But…but…what about you?!" she called.

The guymelef didn’t reply. The pilot looked sadly down at Lina as she was completely underground, then looked up at the oncoming group of androids. There was a huge explosion…then nothing….

~*~end of vision~*~

Lina reached out for an imaginary person, screaming, "NO!!!…Leiren…" Yes. It was Leiren…the pilot…the guymelef pilot was Leiren! How she knew, she didn’t know…it was just the feeling when she was looking up at him. She didn’t get to see his face…yet she did…it was an odd feeling.

A hand tightened around the bar as two blue eyes watched the girl. The eyes closed as a forehead rested against the bars. There was a soft sigh and the sound of footsteps, followed by the sound of a closing door.

Deep in her thoughts, Lina didn’t notice the coming and going of the visitor.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Katomi was walking toward the door when the door opened and Gatti came in. he walked past her and lay down on his bed, his hands behind his head.

"And where have you been, may I ask?" Chesta asked.

"Nowhere in particular. Just went to get my arm dressed. Got a nasty cut from one of those weird guymelefs," Gatti replied, closing his eyes.

"Oh. I see," Chesta said.

Katomi blinked as she stared at Gatti. "Gatti…is something wrong?"

"No," Gatti said, sighing.

"It seems like something is troubling you…" Katomi said.

Gatti didn’t reply. For a moment, it seemed like he had fallen asleep, but that moment ended when he opened his eyes and sat up. "Katomi…may I talk to you…" Gatti said. He looked around, then added, "…alone?"

The other Dragonslayers looked at one another, puzzled.

"Why…alone?" Katomi asked.

"I have my reasons," Gatti said. He noticed the suspicious stare from Viole. "Don’t worry Viole. I’m not going to make any moves on her."

Viole, looking a bit relieved, nodded and left with the other Dragonslayers. Katomi stood, staring at Gatti. Gatti was staring the ceiling, silent.

"So…um…was there something you wanted to say?" Katomi asked, deciding to break the silence.

"Well, first of all, tell the others to stop trying to listen in on our conversation…" Gatti said, his eyes never leaving the ceiling.

Katomi blinked, then opened the door, and the other Dragonslayers, having lost their balance, came tumbling in.

"I HATE it when he does that!" Dalet said, getting up.

The Dragonslayers got up and left. Then Katomi shut the door and faced Gatti.

"Katomi…you’re a girl right?" Gatti said.

"After that, Gatti, I found out that nothing gets past you," Katomi said.

Gatti looked at Katomi and gave her a lopsided smile. "Katomi…I…" he started. He stopped, changed his mind, then said, "Why do you think Lord Dilandau told us to lock the girl with the purple stone up when we found her two weeks ago?"

Katomi shrugged. "I don’t know, really. Maybe His Highness, Emperor Dornkirk found some use for her…"

Gatti nodded slowly. He let out a sigh. "Open the door."

Katomi opened the door, and once again, the Dragonslayers came tumbling in.

"You all seriously need to respect other peoples’ privacy…" Katomi chuckled, helping all of them up.

Suddenly, there was a loud boom, and the sound of the alarm filled the Vione.

"What the…?!" Viole said.

All of the Dragonslayers ran to the hangers and jumped into their guymelefs. Soon, they flew out of the Vione and saw a huge army of androids in their warplane forms, shooting missiles at the Vione.

"What should we do, Lord Dilandau? We’re outnumbered ten to one!" Chesta said.

"Just kill them all using your stealth cloaks!" Dilandau snapped. "Katomi, you first! Act as a distraction."

"Aye, Lord Dilandau!" Katomi said. She let out an evil chuckle as she shot toward the nearest android.

Dilandau and the rest of his Dragonslayers activated their stealth cloaks and followed. Dilandau made an evil smirk. Let’s see if these are any better than the Fanalian Samurai… he thought.
