"Viole! What are you doing here?" Gatti said, relieved that it wasn’t Dilandau or Folken.
"I was looking for you. Um…sorry about what happened back at the barracks…" Viole said.
"Oh, that’s all right…" Gatti said dismissively.
"What are you doing here?" Viole asked.
Gatti pulled Viole close and looked around.
"What is it, Gatti?" Viole asked.
Gatti, assured that nobody else was listening, whispered, "Can you keep a secret?"
Viole was puzzled. "I suppose I could…"
"Good. Let me tell you something. One of us isn’t who we think he is. One of us Dragonslayers is what this girl here," Gatti jerked his head in Lina’s direction, "says is the boy named Leiren. That other girl who’s hiding in the shadows…don’t ask, I’ll tell you later…says that Leiren is from where she and the odd guymelefs…or androids as she puts it…came from. That means that one of us isn’t entirely Gaean."
Viole shook his head. "Gatti, you’ve been drinking vino, haven’t you?"
Gatti sighed. "Viole, look. Talk to the girls and you’ll see what I…"
The door to the prison chamber (I know, I’ve changed the way I named this area) opened and Folken came in.
"What are you two doing here?" Folken asked.
"Lord Folken!" Gatti and Viole said in unison. Both saluted Folken.
"We were inspecting the cells, Sir," Viole said.
Folken nodded. "I see…well, you two are dismissed."
Gatti and Viole looked at one another, then saluted Folken once more and left. They had made enough distance between themselves and the prison chamber when Gatti stopped and leaned his back against a wall.
"Oh, gods!" he said.
"What do you suppose Lord Folken is doing?" Viole said, brushing his bangs back.
"I don’t know…if he discovers the other girl…" Gatti groaned at the thought of it.

Mekhasa and Rohga had made a plan to escape from the prison they were in. Both waited patiently, then - to their luck - a guard came up. Rohga nodded at Mekhasa, who had managed to untie her bonds with her claws, and Mekhasa nodded back. Rohga jumped to his feet and lunged at the door, startling the guard. The guard staggered back in surprise, then he found himself pulled back against the bars of Mekhasa’s cell. Mekhasa put an arm tightly around the guard’s neck, grinning maliciously. Her free paw searched the guard’s belt for the keys. An evil chuckle signaled that she had got them.
There was a resounding rip and a thud as the guard fell forward, his throat cut. He didn’t even have time to scream. Mekhasa unlocked the door to her cell and freed Rohga.
"I see you’ve improved…" Rohga said.
Mekhasa licked the blood off her claws then smiled at her brother. "Thank you for noticing," she said.
"Well, what are we doing standing here, let’s go!" Rohga said.
"Right!" Mekhasa said.
The two hybrids sprinted out of the prison chamber and ran through the halls. Mekhasa grinned as they finally reached the hangers. She made a hop-skip movement then leaped onto her android in one fluid motion. She pressed down a couple of buttons on the chest plate, then climbed in through the opening mouth.
"Come in, Brother!" she said, lowering one of her android’s paws.
Rohga got on, then as the paw rose, he leaped into the mouth, to the cockpit. He sat down in an extra passenger’s seat next to Mekhasa and watched as his sister started tapping a couple of buttons. The mouth closed tightly before them, and they felt a jolt as the cockpit rose a bit so that they could see through the android’s "eyes" or rather, the windows. Mekhasa pressed a green button, and the cockpit changed so that the control panel before her went away, and several wires came down upon her. She plugged the wires into the back of her helmet, on her shoulder pads, on her gauntlets, her legs, back and feet. Rohga’s seat had shifted so that it was right behind her, and her seat had gone away, replaced by an iron casing for her body.
"I don’t remember seeing that in our androids…" Rohga said, astonished.
"Zaibach installed it for me," Mekhasa said, looking back at her brother. She smiled, then her smile faded into a sad expression once she faced forward again. Zaibach…Viole…
The android moved forward, gained momentum, then started running.
The soldiers nearby, seeing the android escaping, hurried toward their guymelefs and took after it.
"They’re coming after us!" Rohga exclaimed.
"Let them come…" Mekhasa said.
Suddenly, a familiar sensation coursed through Mekhasa’s body. She started laughing, quietly at first, then maniacally. She whirled around, catching a guymelef in the middle with her sword. She punched another, then kicked one, sending both flying.
"AHAHA!!!! DIE!!! DIE!!!!" Mekhasa cried, slashing at the oncoming guymelefs.
"D-Deathlust…" Rohga muttered, staring wide eyed at his sister. "Deathlust…"
"COME TO ME!!!! I’LL SEND YOU TO THE DEVIL!!! I HEARD THAT HE WAS FEELING LONELY LATELY!!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!!!" Mekhasa cried hysterically.
"Mekhasa…MEKHASA!!!! STOP!!! COMPOSE YOURSELF!!!!" Rohga cried. He got out of his seat and ran toward Mekhasa. "STOP IT!!! YOU’LL GET YOURSELF KILLED LIKE THIS!!!"
"LET GO!!!!" Mekhasa cried, struggling to free herself from Rohga’s grip. She bit into Rohga’s paw then slashed at the nearest guymelef. "DON’T MESS WITH ME!!!"
"MEKHASA!!!! LET’S JUST GET OUT OF HERE!!!" Rohga cried, holding his injured paw.
"BUT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE WHO WANT TO PLAY!!!!" Mekhasa said, laughing hysterically.
"MEKHASA!!!! STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!!! FOR OUR PARENTS’ SAKE STOP IT!!!!"
Mekhasa froze. The glow in her eyes flickered and started to dim. "Our…our parents…?"
"Yes," Rohga said. "For our parents’ sake…"
Mekhasa looked around at the damage she had caused. The remaining guymelefs stood back, unwilling to get close to the android. She whimpered and started to sob. "What have I done…?" she whispered, looking at all the guymelefs she had destroyed. The memory of her past flooded back to her, and the guymelefs took the form of destroyed androids and fallen hybrids. Flames were everywhere…everywhere! The day the Dragons attacked…Exidaea never did figure out where these Dragons came from…it was just like a sudden plague. "Mother…Father…." Mekhasa fell to her knees, so did her android. "It’s my fault that they died…if only…if only…"
"Shh, shh. It’s all right. You didn’t know…you couldn’t help it," Rohga said comfortingly. "I think I should do the piloting now, eh?"
Mekhasa nodded and pressed a red button on her chest. The cockpit resumed its original from and Mekhasa and Rohga quickly traded seats. The guymelefs started to move in.
"Let’s give this android a good stretch, shall we?" Rohga said, flicking several switches to his left. He let out a chuckle and pulled back a lever. There was a shudder and a jolt as the android shape shifted into a warplane. "Forgot about this technique, didn’t you?"
Mekhasa nodded.
Rohga smiled then pressed down a couple of buttons. A robotic voice (which sounded feminine) was heard.
"Vivacena in warplane mode…. Gathering energy…. Ready for take off," the voice said as the warplane’s wheels came out from under it. The machine gathered speed as it shot forward. The machine then slowly took to the air, the wheels tucked in under it. "Vivacena gaining altitude," said the voice again.
Mekhasa sighed. "So, where are we heading, Brother?"
"Earth," Rohga replied.
"Earth?" Mekhasa repeated.
Rohga pointed to Earth which was visible in the night sky.
"Oh, the Mystic Moon…" Mekhasa whispered.
"I see not all of your memory has returned yet…well, that doesn’t matter. We have time," Rohga said.
