He entered a room and paused, his chest heaving as he scanned the large room. Empty. Viole slowly began to walk around the room, his sword held tightly in his hand. Suddenly, he froze. Something or someone was coming up from... "HAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!!!!" came a familiar voice from... Viole whirled around and blocked an attack from the one he was searching for, locking swords. "Where is Dilandau?!" the nemesis demanded. Viole said nothing. Instead, he pushed the intruder's sword away and glared into the eyes of his adversary. The intruder glared back just as maliciously. Neither spoke. They just glared into each other's eyes, searching. The intruder searched for a way to make Viole talk. Viole searched for a way to destroy the other. "If you want to get the answer, ask my soul if you manage to destroy me!" Viole snarled. "If that's the way you want it, fine with me!" said the intruder. Both shot toward each other and swung their swords. There was a loud clang which echoed in the room, followed by another and another. Van, the intruder, kicked out with his leg, causing Viole to fall back, then he stabbed downward, but Viole managed to block the attack. "I've got to get out of this position! But...how?!" Viole looked to his side to see a fireplace. Quickly, he pushed Van's sword away, grabbed a fistful of ash and flung it up at Van's eyes. Van cried out in surprise and backed away, giving Viole a chance to get back up on his feet. As Van rubbed at his eyes, Viole made a jabbing movement, causing Van to drop his sword. He picked the sword up and stood, glaring at Van. Van, now being able to see, glared back at Viole and grinned lopsidedly. "You're pretty tough, DragonSlayer! I'm impressed! I managed to slay the rest of the Dragonslayers easily. But you... huh, you're not like them, I see." Viole pressed his sword point against Van's throat in anger. "You killed the others?" Van didn't flinch a bit. "Yes." Viole's chest heaved in rage. He was about to put an end to his master's nemesis, but Van got a poker from the fireplace and stabbed Viole in the chest, causing the DragonSlayer to cry out in agony. Although he was wounded to the point of dying, Viole managed to slash out with both swords, catching Van in the middle. Van looked at Viole one last time then fell limp at the feet of the triumphant DragonSlayer. * * * Dilandau watched as Viole came toward him, dragging a familiar being behind him. Dilandau's eyes widened at the gruesome sight of Viole as the DragonSlayer went down on one knee and saluted Dilandau. "Master Dilandau... I bring you the body of your nemesis. He shall torment you no more..." Viole managed to say before falling to his side. |
