72-John Leonard WALTON, b. c1768, Henrico Co., VA, s/o John and Sarah (____) WALTON, d. c1806, Moorefield, Hardy Co., VA, m. ________, (73) Nancy Ann TOLER, nee GRUBB, b. bef. 1775, in Louisa or Henrico? Co., VA, probably the daughter of a John GRUBB. An exact birth and death date have not been found. It is speculated that she may hae gone to IN with the daughter, Elizabeth TOLER WOLFE, when they left Winchester, but not proven. From the information in Joshua Danforth's book on her son William C. WALTON, she appears to have be still living at the time of his death in 1834. To date, a marriage record has not been located. She was previously married to a Cornelius TOLER, on 10 Nov 1775, in Goochland Co., VA, by whom she had seven children. After their marriage, John and Nancy lived for some years on the road to Richmond, VA, about 32 miles north of the city, but settled in 1805 in Moorefield, VA, where John died in 1806 at the age of 38. John had been a blacksmith and tavern keeper. They had only one son. There is some evidence that Nancy went to live with daughter Elizabeth, who married John WOLFE, in Winchester, VA, after the death of husband, John. (FH6) Nancy's children designated by her ancestral number (73), and the half brothers and sisters of William Claiborne WALTON. See Marriage NOTE in Research Notes. Children:
