The Family of Peter OLLER
and Catherine ____?
(7th. Generation)

122 Peter OLLER, b. 1749, d. Thursday, 3 Mar 1823, Jefferson Co., VA, age 74, m. by 1783, (123) Catherine OTT. Peter settled in Shepherdstown, had purchased land on Opequon Creek. He furnished supplies to the troops during the Revolution, and was paid for his service. Peter OLLER is buried in the German Lutheran Churchyard in Shepherdstown. His wife is buried in OLLER Cem., Bellpoint, Delaware Co., OH.  In the 1790 census he had 4 free white males over 16, and 4 free white females. There is some controversy over this Peter OLLER and who he married. One school of thought says he married a Catherine WELSHANS. The compiler proposes that he may have married a Catherine OTT of Frederick Co., MD. There was a Peter OLLER in Frederick Co., MD about the same period that Peter #122 was in Jefferson Co., VA, but it appears that he stayed there.  NOTE: Don OLLER, in the biography states Peter OLLER was b. on Albany, NY, abt. 1748. Other genealogist suggest that this is a different Peter OLLER, and that Peter above was actually in Shepherdstown, VA, and couldn't be the Peter b. in Albany. More research needed. He also claims that Peter m. Catherine WELSHANS. This also needs to be explored. WILL (OHDEB17, WVBEB25, WVBE2, 6, 18, WVJEB6, 16 p22, 18) Children (not in order of birth):

In 1850 Elizabeth BARBER, age 71, is living with the Peter Family. It is unclear at this point, what relationship their is between Peter TABLER and Elizabeth BARBER. This Peter TABLER appears to be the son of Philip Henry TABLER of Berkeley Co., WV. Peter's wife, Jane, may be the daughter of Elizabeth, but no marriage has been found to support this theory. According to TABLER History, Peter, deserted his family and went to Indian Territory, where he m. an Indian woman. They are buried on the OLLER Cem/, Deleware Co., OH. See Peter TABLER #60.6.
