ZThe Family of Teter MYERS
and Margaret BEHR (BAER)

Much of the information for the Teter MYERS family is derived from the bibles of Teter MYERS Sr. and William H. KILMER, the gravestone records, some census records, and the marriage records of Berkeley Co. Between the five sources there are many discrepancies with dates. The KILMER Bible and the gravestone records appear to be the most accurate. The records are at the end of this page for the reader to compare.

192.2 Teter MYERS, b. 16 Jul 1751, d. 15 Apr 1838, aged 87y, m. Margaret BEHR (BEAR), b. 16 Jun 1756, d. 16 Oct 1818, age 62y 4m. The stone states that she is the wife of P. There is also a stone marked P. MYERS d. 1838, which is probably Teter. In the records of Berkeley Co., Teter is sometimes recorded as Peter. The 1838 date on the stone marked P. MYERS matches the death date in the Teter MYERS Bible. That being the case, both Teter and Margaret are buried in Hedgesville Cem.
