Johannes migrated to Ross Co., OH, from VA, in the early days of the county, one of the first to settle on Paint Creek. He was a  Rev. War Vet. His will of 29 Oct 1841, gave his wife Margaret a house and all movables. A track of land on Deer Creek to be divided among his sons Abaraham, Daniel, Nathan, and Ephraim. Daughters Mary and Elizabeth $5 each; names other son John and daughter Christine, Peggy, Anna, and Milca. John is buried in Freshour Cem., nr. Bourneville, Twin Twp., Ross Co. In 1850, Margaret was farming in Paxton Twp., Ross Co. John FRESHOUR 37, a farmer, b. OH is in the household, also Andrew Breden 13. In 1910 he was boarding with Samuel Hatfield, Scioto Twp., Ross Co. In 1910 Rebecca is living with her daughter, Emma J. BARKLEY, widow, with a daughter Ruth UHRIG 16.
