On 25 Sep 1853, he was appointed guardian of Albert Fidler 18, Martha Ann 14, heirs of John Fidler. In 1860 Jacob and Delilah were living in Hillsboro; there is also a Delilah listed in an infirmary in Hillsboro. Also in the household are Sarah Shannon 17, b. OH, and Joshua Leonard 23, a farm laborer, b. OH. In 1870, James Kendall 47, and Charles Gourdy 29, b. preachers are in the home.
