(47) Catherine HILL, b. 19 Dec 1796, Shepherdstown, d. 2 Sep 1876, age 84, Shepherdstown, d/o Christian and Catherine (YEASLEY) HILL. In 1825 William bought from his brother-in-laws, Michael and John HILL, a house and lot in Shepherdstown, left to them by their mother, Catherine HILL, property she inherited from her father Michael YEASLEY. John HILL was in Hardin Co., KY. From available records, they lived in Shepherdstown. In the 1850 and 1860 census, his occupation is listed as a painter and glazer. William, with one of sons, is supposed to have glazed the windows at Ferry Hill Plantation at one time. His death record states his occupation as pauper? However, the bible record does not indicate he had any sons. The Boteler heirs on 13 Feb 1841, sold to William BOWEN, part of lot #30 in Shepherdstown, for $1, all rights to property sold to Willaim BOWEN on 2 Aug 1821, which William BOWEN and Henry Boteler bought from F.
