Brief Summary of the Evidence Against "Biblical Creation" - by some of it's various components.

*A young earth: proved wrong by the size of the human population, by Egyptian archaeology, by Sumerian archaeology (which both have substantial populations of humans present earlier than such populations would have been possible in a "young-earth" creationist timeline);
---by the existence of radioactive isotopes, in such concentrations that they would have had to have been decaying for billions of years;
---by the existence of large sections of the geological record that would have taken longer than six or even ten thousand years to be laid down;
---by the existence of, well, evolutionary sequences in the fossil record (which are fairly well proven right by the evidences listed in the link at the bottom of this page) that should have taken longer than six or ten thousand years;
---and the existence of landforms that would take longer than six or ten thousand years to form.

*Noah's Flood: proved wrong by the absence of a global flood in the geological record that goes back 4,500,000,000 years,
---by the absence of a global flood in tree-ring records that go back 10,000 years,
---by the absence of a global flood in ice core samples that go back up to about 40,000 years,
---by the very existence of the polar ice caps (which would have taken hundreds of thousands of years to form, and would be destroyed by a global flood, thus not leaving enough time to reform in time since the "Flood"). *The six day sequence of creation, the order in which things where created in the Bible: proved wrong by the sequence in the fossil record... this'll be colour-coded. Wooo! Colours!

The order in Genesis goes:

• Grass, fruit trees and herbs.
• sun and the moon (??)
• Whales, fish (including all the things that "moveth" in the sea), and flying animals.
• Land animals ("cattle and creeping thing, and all the beasts of the earth")
• Humans
