Dale Earnhardt was and will always be the greatest racer!! He will race on in all of our hearts. I know that he races on in Heaven with those he has lost along the way that he has loved. He was taken from us so suddenly on February 18, 2001, that some of us still do not believe that he is gone. We look at the track and expect to see old #3 come around that corner and take the checkered flag. Instead, all that is there is silence and the horrifying memories of that day. We still see #3 hit that wall, and our hearts still sink and hit the wall with him. Let others say what they will, but Dale Earnhardt will never be forgotten. Legends live on; heroes never die. If the good die young, then Dale must have been an angel in waiting. We all know the day would come..we just never thought it would come so soon.
