Winter Haiku . . .
winter ice--
wall stones tumble
freeing the cows
February rains
melt week old snow banks--
soon crocus blooms
still feet poke
through melting snow--
an unlucky blue jay
winter winds
embrace my icy deck--
the grill yawns for carcoal fire
cat and I
sinfully side by side
in winter seclusion
