Photojournalism
at its worst!

The above picture was taken in Judea or Samaria in Israel.  These photojournalists are sitting behind a junked car on its side, placed to shield the Arab kids who throw rocks, Molotov cocktails, bottles of acid and shoot at Israeli soldiers during rioting in their towns and villages.  Here the photojournalists have lined up to take a picture of a staged dramatic picture of an Arab waving a Palestinian flag.  Note that a number of these journalists are wearing flak-jackets and helmets to protect themselves.  The expressions of these photographers show how eager they are good pictures to send back to their editors -- even if they have to be rigged and staged.  This is journalism at it's worst, and typical of what goes on in these parts.

(If you'd like a better quality version of this photo in bit-map format I'll be glad to send you one as an attachment on an e-mail.  Contact me if you want one.)
