Simple Sentence Structure
By PCI
Simple Sentence Structure is an exciting program designed to help students learn and understand the importance of Subject-Verb-Object word order. Students of all ages benefit from this fun, "hands-on" program that engages and stimulates learning with animated graphics and motivating sounds. Students with language impairments usually have persistent problems with word order processing and production. This pioneering language intervention program helps students recognize the correct pattern for organizing sentences by highlighting subjects, verbs, and objects. Two pictures appear on the screen and students choose the picture that illustrates a particular sentence in one of the six levels of training. Learning is reinforced as individuals move from one training level to the next. The program offers an animated game, four levels of instruction for each sentence set, and a pre- and posttest. Every level contains varying amounts of instruction, cueing, and feedback so practice opportunities are plentiful.
