The Basic COCOMO equations take the form:
E =ab (KLOC)bb
D = cb (E)db
Our project team consists of team members with relatively good application experience in the programming language that we are going to use, i.e. java. We have gained this experience through our previous laboratory session and also our Design and Development project. Under the leadership of our team manager, Robert, and our chief software engineer, Mario, our team of dynamic personnel would be able to achieve our fullest potential. Moreover, the requirements required for this project undertaken is within our knowledge.
From the reason above, the relatively small size of the project and requirements that are not very rigid, we consider our project to be an organic one.
The calculation:
E = 2.4 (2)1.05
= 5.176 person-months
D = 2.5 (5.176)0.38
= 4.67 months
Productivity and Effort
Productivity, P = KLOC / E
= 2 / 5.176
= 0.386 Kilo lines of code per person-month
Average staffing, AS = E / D FSP,
= 1.108 FSP
