DKPA : Change Your Startup Screen Logo from the Animated Microsoft Default

Are you tired of seeing the same start-up logo day after day? Dakshina Kannada Philatelic Association, Mangalore provides you with a different logo shown below. The animated logo shows Mahatma Gandhi as depicted on the stamp issued by the Department of Posts, India to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the Republic of India. The stamp has been designed by the eminent artist Shri Ranga who has extensively worked on various aspects of Mahatma Gandhi. This logo is our way of celebrating the Golden Jubilee of the Republic of India.

The animated logo has been made using the LogoMania, version 1.0 package, written by Neil J. Rubenking and available at www.pcmag.com/utilities.

Download the Logo.Zip file. Rename logo.sys in your root directory to logo.org (signifying the original Microsoft Logo). Extract the logo.sys to your root directory "C:\". If you do not like this logo. delete it from the root directory and rename logo.org to logo.sys. That's it!

Download the dkpaa.zip file. Follow the steps defined above. The Logo shows a painting from the recent painting competition held as part of the DKPA Silver Jubilee celebrations. The coloured rectangles are animated. The painting depicts the Butha Kola of Dakshina Kannada.
