During the summer of 2002, I made a little Dakota site.(Click here if you want to see it.) A couple months later I stopped updating it, because at that time Lovely Dakota opened. Lovely is such a fantastic site, I didn't see the need to keep running mine. However, I continued to be a huge fan of Dakota, and I never lost the itch to have my own website dedicated to her.
Summer 2004 I had hardly anything to do and thought, now might be a good time to make a website. For a few days I mulled it over, and finally decided that I would make a website - but with no image gallery, because there are already a few huge Dakota galleries on the Net. I decided that since I love writing, most of the content would be written material about Dakota and her work.
Originally, I thought I'd like to make my site with Front Page 2000 so I wouldn't have to learn html. But I made a post at Enchanting Starz asking for advice, and people there encouraged me to learn html. I began visiting Lissa Explains It All a lot and experimenting with html, and discovered that - shock! - html might not be so bad after all.
So I started working on this site whenever I got the chance and learning a lot along the way. I like to think that I am so much better at web design than I was in my Yahoo Pagebuilder days, lol. Still, I am always learning new things, so don't be surprised if you come here someday and everything is different. *wink*
