Dakota are on a mission to secure their rightful place at the forefront of rock music. The boys’ mix of roaring guitars and anthemic choruses forges an electrifying wall of sound, and Dakota have a knack for creating timeless pop hooks born to be played on the radio. The band are able to distil familiar influences (U2, Rolling Stones, Nirvana, early Radiohead, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan and many more) into something unique, exciting and immediately recognisable, and are all talented and experienced musicians.

Formed in August 2005, they’ve spent their time since gigging intensively and honing their live set to perfection. With prolific songwriter Dan churning out future hits every week, the band now has a formidable catalogue of songs that rivals any band on the UK scene. Over two days in late October 2005 the band recorded the ‘Rock N Roll Music EP’ with Will Jackson (Embrace, Kaiser Chiefs, The Music). The three track release showcases their talents to the full and is currently gaining rave reviews from around the music world. Samples are available from the Downloads area of the site. New songs are currently improving the existing blueprint, resulting in a more expansive sound whilst maintaining the anthemic melodies that are the band's trademark.
