| Game Review for Kirby Super Star | ||||
| Kirby Super Star is a great Kirby game that came out for the Super Nintendo in 1996. It is my personal favorite Kirby game. If you have a Super Nintendo, or can get one from someone, this game is worth getting. What made this game so great was that there were 8 different modes (9 if you unlocked the arena). First there was Spring Breze which is for beginners who have not mastered the game yet. It is also sort of a remake of Kirby's Dreamland for the Game Boy. You had to defeat King Dedede who had stolen all of Dreamland's food because of the famine. It is a good mode, but there is better modes in Kirby Super Star. Next there is Gourmet Race. You have to beat King Dedede to the finish line while also collecting as much food as you can. It has three different courses. It is a minigame that can be played over and over again. Third there is the Dynablade game. Dynablade is a large legendary bird who was destroying all of the crops. (Don't worry, not all of the games in Kirby Super Star are about food) Dynablade was the next step up from Spring Breeze. There also was The Great Cave Offensive. The point of this game is that Kirby gets stuck underground and decides to try to find rare treasures. To complete this game you have to battle your way through the cave and collect as many treasures along the way as you can. There are 60 different treasures in the game. Revenge of Meta Knight is one of the best games in Kirby Super Star. Meta Knight builds the Halberd (a huge warship) so he can take over Dreamland. Kirby is the only thing standing in his way. The sixth game is Milky Way Wishes. A machine is made to make the sun and moon over Dreamland fight. To get copy abilities in this game, you have to find a floting icon for the specific ability. Then you can use the ability forever, because it will be in a list in the pause menu, you have to go through the list of abilities and select the one you want. There are two minigames for Kirby Super Star, Samauri Rush and Megaton Punch. They are reflex-testing minigames. There is a nineth secret unlockable game called The Arena. It is a game where Kirby has only 1 life and 5 maximum tomatoes, and he has to survive all of the battles to win. You can start out with any copy ability you want except limited-time-use abilities. You even unlock a sound test option after you beat it. Kirby Super Star gets a 9.5 out of 10 because the game is so much fun and there isn't much Hal Labratories could have done to make it better. |
