| The EW Cup tournament will begin on Week 23 of the EPL season and will conclude in a Cup Final on week 34. This tournament consists of single elimination matches with replays for matches that result in a draw. Seeding throughout the tournament will be based upon Yahoo point standings at the end of Week 22. In case of a tie in the league table, the most recent weekly result (week 22) will be used to determine seeding. Tournament Seeding (Divisions) Note on Yahoo scoring corrections: Any scoring changes that take place during head to head cup competitions will be used only if they are made before the Yahoo deadline for the following week's rosters. Changes made after the deadline can not be used to change the outcome of a match. Note on the schedule: Due to uncertainties in Yahoo`s schedule, week numbers listed here are based on my best estimate at this time. Adjustments will be made if necessary. What constitutes a win? - For purposes of this tournament, a team must outscore its opponent by at least 10 Yahoo points in order to move onto the next round. If neither team has a winning margin (10 points), the match will be replayed in the week specified in these rules. If no team has a winning margin (10 points) in the replay, the winner will be the one with the higher aggregate score for the two matches played. In the unlikely event that the aggregate score results in an exact tie, the team with the higher total Yahoo points on the season will advance. The Commissioner will make a ruling depending on the conditions at the time. If the FA postpone EPL games so that those games are no longer played in the same fantasy week, AND if the number of postponed games is 50% or greater of the total number of games scheduled for that week, AND if the total number of actual games played is less than 6, THEN the Cup matches for that week will be postponed. The Commissioner will make a ruling with regards to rescheduling the Cup matches depending on the conditions at the time. |
