Music ( Bay Area Scene)
Jaz's Music career started in the early 80's as part of the birth of hip hop especially in the Bay. Jaz was known as rapper JayLove in the 80's & 90's and under the managment of Bay Area Productions' Erroll Jackson & Lionel B (too short Managment at the time). but at that time there was no market for rappers who we'rent black. (jaz is Filipino, Hawaiian & Puerto rican). Jaz (jaylove) rapped about life as a non black hustling at "Happy Land", Haystack's (Hayward) then the hot drug spot). & growing up in Frisco's mission district. . His single In "My Neiborhood" ( Findaway Records)(refering to 24th and mission in Frisco) got some play on KMEL. & he was featured on a song by Kirby Colman (of "Hey Toni" fame ) as well as on numerous R& B Tracks produced By Jaz' Musical Mentors Albert "Noli" Degracia & Rich Aguan ( Both of Collage & The Whispers) Who after finding out Jaz could sing too, Started to steer Jaz towards a singing career . Jaz also entered many local battles like at Bogies in San Leandro & was never beaten (jaz also won singing contest there as well). Jaz was part of many Bay Area Groups such as M.I.C (who opened up for T-La rock, Mantronix & DJ Louie Lou on a small Cali tour in the 80's) and also part of the Sure Shock Syndicate which also included D-styles of the Invizible Skratch Pickles & Radio Mix master Glen Aure. and has worked with 80's producers such as Ant Banks, Chocolite Chip (wild Boyz) & Stan Kieth (Spice -1 Producer at the time). Jaz was also a B-boy with the original Renegade Rockers & Practiced all aspects of HIP HOP which were, and always will be...Rappin, Dj'n, Breakin & Graffiti.. Which is why jaz refuses to Sing on Rap records or Rap on Singing records.
Jaz's Family later moved to the Surburbs of Hayward (College Park, where hood kids move when there parents come into money. so, nice place, but punk ass kids (LOL) after his mom remarried. Jaz then learned music (as far as, Drums, Piano) and joined the Band scene in San Francisco where he seasoned himself as a musician.

Jaz, who is part Hawaiian, Moved to The Big Island in 93 where he got into radio broadcasting & music. since then he has done the following.....
2 Time Hoku Award (Hawaii Grammy) winner, with the Hawaii Reggae Band Ehukai. ( Not to be confused with California's Ka Ehu Kai)
Producer of Ehukai " SECOND SET" & Mana Caceres " WHO I AM.".
Has backed up many of the top Hawaiian Acts such as Ehukai, Fiji, Sudden Rush, Mana, R.J Kaneao, the Late Israel Kamakawiwoole, Willie K, Jamin The Chief Ragga of Ho'aikane & many more.
Jaz is heavily into extreme sports & has a new tv show coming out on Hawaii cable called "Jazzy Vision X-Treme". he aslo has returned to his roots of HIP HOP & is working on a self produced CD Which will cater to exteme Sports fans & Bay Area hip hop fans. At the same Time, Jaz will be working on a new Singing CD (reggae / island) as well, which will be produced by Local Singer/Producer Damon Williams.
