Here is my lab 1. As you can see, I added a cos and tan waveform together. As for the output, I multiplied the output to a certain power with one channel higher than the other. If you play the source code I have, it kind of sounds like a Star Wars thing (like the laser sounds and stuff). However, it only gets this effect with a sample rate of 10000 and a frequency of 500. Anything else will give it a flat tone. I'm not sure why it does that, but I'm sure it has something to do with my math equation. Here is my source code: Lab 1 Source Code
This is my lab 2 with one is real instrument and anonther one is unreal. I am not good at music. Therefore, I chose a simple song to do, which is HAPPY BIRTHDAY. However, it still took me a long time to write the music sheet. Then I played with ring madulation, and I tried to make my song sounds like piano, but I think it's not that successful. If you click on the two center boxes, it sounds like a whistle. Maybe it's like a weird flute. I really can't tell the differnce.
Proposal This class is getting interesting to me, however, it is also getting tough to me. For my final research, I think about to find out how the audio DSP solutions for home theater products. For example, how the products create the realistic sound, and Hi-Fi, Hi-end systems. Another possibility, I remembered that you showed us in the class about the time delay effects which is aslo a good idea for me to work on.
This is my lab 3. First,I am kind of comfused for this assignment. However, after you taught us in the class, you made clear what should be done. Even though my assignment looks like yours, I really learn more about MSP. Unfortunely, I didn't know how to do it any other way after I saw your example. Thank you for your help in the class.
This is my draft of dolby surround sound.I basically wante to talk about the history of dolby and also mention the products. After this research, I've learned a lot about surround sound and I think it's helpful to design a dolby surround at my home. Thanks for your anticipated suggestion.
