| Daisy wishes she was a geisha like the ones in the postcard, but I don't think her little paws could handle the tea ceremony gracefully! She wanted to also note that apprentice geisha, like the ones shown here, are always dressed more colorfully than real geisha. |

Dear Mom and Dad - Next stop on the trip is Kyoto, the former capitol of Japan from 800 AD to 1850s (timing is rough). There are many, many temples and shrines here - almost 2,000 of them, large and small. Kyoto is also home to the Geishas... ladies who are trained in the art of song, dance, instruments, and socializing.
