FAQ #7: (Referring to me having the hejab on) "How come other Malays/Muslims don't have them on?"
It is obligatory for every Muslim woman who had reached puberty to cover herself. Consider this a modest way of dressing (not pious) for God knows best. Only men that women can be seen by (without being covered) are their husbands, fathers, maternal uncles and brothers. Above all, I'm not answerable for them, nor are they to me. I'm sure everyone is enlightened in their own way, at their own time. Just as how I've yet to be enlightened in many more ways that others already have. |
