| I would to Heaven that I were so much clay As I am blood, marrow, passion, feeling - Because at least the past were passed away, And for the future - ( but I write this reeling, Having got drunk exceedingly to-day So that I seem to stand upon the ceiling ) I say - the future is a serious matter - And so - for God's sake - hock and soda water ! Words are things, and a small drop of ink, Falling like dew, upon a thought, produces That which make thousands, millions, THINK. ...if a writer should be quite consistent, How could he possibly show things existent? If I had to live over again, I do not know what I would change in my life, unless it were for not to have lived at all. Lord George Gordon Byron |

| That curse shall be Forgivness - Have I not Hear me, my mother Earth! beheld in Heaven! Have I not had to wrestle with my lot? Have I not suffered things to be forgiven? Have I not had my brains seared, my heart riven, Hopes sapped, name blighted, life's life lied away? But I have lived, and have not lived in vain. Lord Byron - CHILDE HAROLD'S PILGRIMAGES |
