Hacker Exposed by ARC Is ARC A-OK? By G.C.I. Maxwell™ At approximately 10:45 PM Eastern Standard Time, whilst milling about in an ARC-hosted CTF map, this reporter was alerted to the presence of a suspected hacker within the game. According to official sources, the hacker, identified as "(WC) Blood Wolff," appeared on team two and triggered VengShield, which reported that the individual was in possession of not only an illegitimate Atlas variant as well as at least one illegitimate Daishi variant, named "Wiz." Both BattleMech variants apparently possessed jumpjets, and when confronted with the issue, (WC) Blood Wolff openly admitted to being a hacker. He further criticized the pilots who attempted to confront him for his transgression, and made several derogatory statements about ARC and its value system. Ultimately, this reporter became so thoroughly disgusted with Blood Wollf for his open and shameless behavior that permission was requested (and ultimately granted, provisionally) for Maxwell and K to cross opposition lines to hunt down and destroy the hacker. Several kills were scored against the intruder prior to end of game, at which point ARC_bLacKdaVioN removed him from the server. The hacker then attempted to return under the alias "Rancid," at which time his illicit variants were again detected and dealt with accordingly. It is uncertain as to whether or not Blood Wolff will be banned from further ARC server meets, but further information will be forthcoming as it becomes available. If and when the decision transpires for the actual server logs to be made public, they will be available for viewing on the Beagle Active Probe server. This incident has caused this author to seriously reconsider his position on the ARC Clan and its moral values. ARC_bLacKdaVioN and ARC Macgamer™ are to be commended for their professional handling of the situation, and extended special thanks for their provisional cease-fire during the hacker hunt.
