Transcript from Daiquiri Day 2005 Official Press Conference - February 7, 2005

SINATRA: Good evening. For those of you who don't know, I'm Sinatra, chairman of the board for the Daiquiri Day 2005 planning committee.  Before we get started, I'd just like to congratulate the New England Patriots on winning the Super Bowl and take this opportunity to clarify that I called this the day after last year's Super Bowl.
Okay, now that we have that out of the way, let's get down to business. I have a few announcements to make before I take some questions. First things first- Saturday April the twenty-third, mark it on your calendar 'cause it's now Daiquiri Day. Due to some security concerns, we will not be publicly disclosing the location of the event, you'll have to contact us for more details.
As for Daiquiri Day itself, here's everything I know and can confirm at this point.  Strawberry daiquiris, our traditional flagship product, will be joined by banana daiquiris, strawberry-banana daiquiris, and our newest addition this year, peach daiquiris.  In addition, we will have frozen Liquid Sunshine available. Slide, please? [pointing to slide] As you can see, Liquid Sunshine is made by mixing equal parts Parrot Bay and Tropicana Orange Strawberry Banana Juice.  As for beer, we will have several kegs, and I can give you my word that they will be Budweiser products.  We here at Daiquiri Day Management in no way support Miller and its feeble efforts to topple Budweiser as the world's top producer of beer.  This beer will be available to anyone who comes to Daiquiri Day, and can be used for personal drinking, beer pong, flip cup, card games, or whatever you choose.  We will also be offering shots, including Jager, Blackhaus, Jack Daniels, Southern Comfort, and Bacardi 151 for those brave souls who think they can party with the Chairman.   In addition, any booze available can and will be used on the ice luge.
We have entertainment planned and are in the process of trying to book a band.  We will have games going on, with chances to win free shots, Daiquiri Day merchandise, bottles of booze, cases of beer, and so on and so forth... There will also be a booze raffle occurring throughout the day.
One more thing, pre-sale for Daiquiri Day tickets will begin on March seventh at eleven o'clock am.  Anyone who purchases their ticket in advance will receive two free ice luge passes, which can also be redeemed for shots, raffles, or whatever; we're pretty flexible.
That's just about everything I've got for tonight.  I'd like to remind everyone that you can get more information on the official Daiquiri Day 2005 website, www.daiquiriday2005.tk.  You can also contact us by email at [email protected], or on AOL instant messenger at daiquiriday2k5.  Alright, I'm gonna take a few questions, then we've gotta wrap this up.

SINATRA: [pointing] yes?
QUESTIONER: Mr. Chairman, how much will Daiquiri Day cost?
SINATRA: Oh I'm sorry that was supposed to be in my notes. Entrance fee for Daiquiri Day will be ten dollars, which will entitle you to beer and frozen drinks for the duration of the day.  Shots wil be available for a dollar each, and double-shots on the ice luge will be two dollars.  There will be food as well, but I don't have any information on that right now. Next question.

SINATRA: [pointing] you.
QUESTIONER: Mr. Chairman, will John Gray be at Daiquiri Day?
SINATRA: At this point, we can neither confirm nor deny an appearance by John Gray.  We're doing everything in our power to make it happen, but it's most likely going to be a game-time decision. Next.

SINATRA: [pointing] go ahead
QUESTIONER: Mr. Chairman, can you tell us a little more about the ice luge?
SINATRA: Yeah, Neal can you put up the slide? [pointing to diagram] As you can see, the ice luge is, for all intents and purposes, a large block of ice with holes drilled in it. The booze is poured here, where it slides down the chute, flowing into the very heart of the ice, and exiting here [indicates], frozen and delicious.  Okay, last question...

SINATRA: [pointing] yeah
QUESTIONER: Mr. Chairman, what should I bring to Daiquiri Day to ensure maximum drunken potential?
SINATRA: ha, good question. Well, most importantly, bring your drinking shoes, preferably a comfortable pair. Heels and open-toe sandals are not recommended however there is no dress code, so feel free to wear whatever the hell you please.  As I've said, there will be games of chance, a chugging contest, a booze raffle, and plenty of other stuff, so a little extra pocket money couldn't hurt.  Also, we'll be pretty close to the bar, and we may end up there after D*Day is over, so your ID might come in handy.  And finally, with all the boozing and overall intoxication, I cannot stress this strongly enough: bring condoms. Be safe.
Alright, that's it for questions.  Just one more security notice that I forgot to add to my notes,
dice will be prohibited at this year's Daiquiri Day celebration. Keep an eye on the website as we're revamping it, and we'll see you at Daiquiri Day.  Stay lit.
