The 104 is a 3.5 litre saloon that was followed by the 3.8 litre Majestic, and is very much in that style. Only about 370 chassis were built, some with the 104 body, some with the 104 Ladies Model body and others with coachbuilt bodies. We are the 3rd woners of this car, which was imported new into NZ by its original owner. |

I have all documentation including the Periodic Maintenance Voucher Book as well as the Manufacturers' Warranty Card from the Dealer, ByPass Motors. This car has 92,000 original miles. It is a LHD with 4-speed manual gearbox + Overdrive with chassisnumber 1K30064DN. Only no. 52 LHD were built 1968 and most of them with automatic transmission - so my car must be rare ! |

It is is nice overall shape and is my ONLY daily driver! The car features leather seats,eurathane suspension bushings, Koni's, chrome wire wheels, restored wood, Air conditioning t at really works and does not overheat the car, and a fresh hi-performance 289 Ford V8 w approx 300hp, a 3.54 diff, and a C4 auto, soon to have an AOD Ford automatic-overdrive trans, changing the final drive ratio to 2.32:1. This car has never been slammed and has no rust. The story behind this LHD V8 Saloon, is that a British Consulate brought it over new, to drive while living in California. It will be in the JNCA concourse in Fort Worth in 1998. |

The day I acquired the car the owner handed me the original workshop manual then hooked up a battery to the car and three turns later she purred like a kitten..amazing! |

I drove all the way from Hamilton to Oceanview (South Island) to view and purchase it. I then travelled with wife kids and two cars over the South Island. We did Arthurs pass which was m gnificent. I thoroughly enjoyed every mile. We will be driving the car now in the Netherlands where we have moved. I will get it approved within the next weeks or so and then the fun can start. Although the Dutch do not have a sense of humour with respect to their gas prices: two dollars a liter! I would be very interested if someone could email me with tips on the break system. According to me the cylinders are sticky and I would like to find ways to improve this. |

Paintwork is mostly original, but deteriorating. I'm going to strip & repaint the old girl in the next couple of years. Plan to keep the car for a long time (10 years +), I'm 22 as at 1998. Lucky to own a car some poor soul has paid $150,000+ for in today's terms! |

I installed electronic ignition and cruise control and drive it regularly. The hot Queensland sun has ruined the paint, upholstery and rubbers and I would love to restore the car and add air-conditioning and power steering unless the promised new compact Jaguar/Daimler V8 fulfills all my dreams at a reasonable price. I also have a 1970 MGB with almost 200,000 miles on it which I bought in 1975 and drove every day for years. It is now used for mainly weekend fun and short trips around the city and although a little tired, also runs well with electronic ignition and on unleaded petrol with an inline fuel catalysyt. |

Comments: The car is actually a DR450, i.e. a Majestic Major Limousine, with seating capacity for (at least) eight. I have recently bought this wonderfully practical vehicle because I have four children and find that modern people carriers lack boot space. It's a b t rusty round the edges and I'm in the process of overhauling the back brakes, which were in a dismantled condition when I got it. |

Comments: I've found this car almost 3 years ago in New Zealand (Christchurch) and brought it to Germany. It's a fantasic car and lovely to drive with. Meanwhile I had some serious engine problems and spent the car a complete engine overhaul. Now it's running quite well and I enjoy every trip with the old Daimler. |
