Because life is better when it happens to other people.
I was recently replaying my summer trip to Europe in my head, because I was trying to make myself feel slightly better, because you know you can always feel better. I and I remember specifically the day my girlfriend got her tattoo in some dive, but surprising clean place in Nice, France. Nice is a costal town that looks like a combination of any other French town, mixed with Los Angeles (but with clean air), combined with Venice Beach (but clean all around) and San Diego (minus the idiot surfers), and there are tits and asses everywhere. Anyway on to my point, while exploring the city and causing general mischief, me and my girlfriend Chelsea came across the Museum of Modern Art, which in itself was an all around amazing experience. There was just one tiny problem...I didn't really get it...
The very concept of modern art is a great concept, only I don't get it, I will never understand the idea of taking paint pigmants and covering a rectangle ankle deep with said paint pigmants. Don't get me wrong, it's really amazing to see what people come up with, I will just never understand it. I have one final example and like most things I have to say it involves Yoko Ono and how much of a psycho bitch she is. When she first met John Lennon it was a modern art gallery, where she was displaying her work, called something or another, and it was a bunch of shit cut in half, that's it, I think that's really cool, but I don't get, I really don't. I am either so stupid I can't understand the idea of 2 foot square canvas with a single paint brush stroke covering one part of the canvas, and that's it. There's nothing but one rather large brush stroke, I will never get it...
Impressionism is so much better, Monet is the man...
